This acclaimed Minneapolis hip-hop MC is known for his resonant soul- and funk-flavored music, arrestingly expressive rapping, and ambitiously searching rhymes. Pitchfork calls him “one of the first great voices to emerge from the underground this century.” Ali is accompanied by DJ BK-One. Opening acts are L.A. hip-hop MC Essence and Minneapolis hip-hop MC Toki Wright. Advance tickets: $13 ($15 at the door).
