WDET Folks Like Us host Watroba presents his annual post-Thanksgiving concert, a program of lyrical songs and poignant ballads, including several originals. Watroba sings in a sweet tenor voice, accompanying himself on guitar and punctuating his performance with sharply humorous observations. This show usually features several guest musicians. $15.
Classy local almost-all-female country-rock quintet. Opening acts are Afternoon Round, Local Americana pop-rock band, and Brandon Calhoon, a rock ’n’ roll, soul, and blues singer-songwriter from Detroit.
Veteran local band fueled by Pontiac Pete Ferguson’s alternately soulful and ornery vocals. Their country-based repertoire still features lots of classic honky-tonk, but they also cover everyone from Chuck Berry and Johnny Burnette to the Beatles and James Brown. With guitarist George Bedard, bassist Chris G, drummer Mark Newbound, and keyboardist Jim King. 6:15-8:30 p.m.
